Low-noise system for a peaceful neighborhood
The Austrian air technology specialist installed a truly quiet system that is barely audible, even from close range.
“There is strength – and productivity – in silence: even a 10 dB reduction in noise can boost performance by 5 to 7 percent.” This philosophy of the Swiss company acsono AG also shaped the requirements for the extraction system implemented by Scheuch LIGNO in line with the customer’s expectations. “One of our key requirements was that the system had to operate with exceptionally low noise levels. Scheuch LIGNO delivered exactly that. The solution they presented fully convinced us,” emphasizes Ruedi Emmenegger, Production Manager at acsono AG. Based in Rothrist, the company has made it its mission to give every space the perfect sound.
The system automatically detects whether wood dust or gypsum dust is being extracted
The extraction systems – with a total air volume of 160,000 m³/h for wood dust and 100,000 m³/h for gypsum dust – automatically detect whether the material generated at the machine is wood dust or gypsum dust. The wood dust is compacted in a briquetting press and discharged into a container via special screw conveyors. The gypsum dust is pneumatically conveyed to a separate container. A GreCon spark extinguishing system was also installed. The return air from the extraction system is used for fresh air supply, controlled by frequency-regulated axial fans.

The sepas+ extraction system from Scheuch LIGNO stands out for its ability to adjust the air volume according to the varying machine workload. The extraction performance is continuously adapted to the current utilization of the processing machines, ensuring optimized and minimized energy consumption. As a result, the system operates with outstanding efficiency.
Easy modifications thanks to the flexible single-pipe system
With its flexible single-pipe design connecting the individual machines, the sepas+ system allows for easy adaptation of the machine setup. When changes or extensions are required, only the short pipe section between the machine and the main extraction duct needs to be modified or newly installed — without having to adjust the main duct’s dimensions. Thanks to the high flexibility of the single-pipe system, these simple and fast adaptations help increase the overall productivity of the operation.
