High-performance extraction system for indoor installation
The proven sepas8000 extraction system for indoor installation is also available for double the air volume.
With sepas16000, two DeDustpro dust collectors are combined to achieve double extraction performance. In 2025, the system was installed at Oberland Werkstätten GmbH in Gaißach, Bavaria. In addition, another DeDustpro unit was set up as a standalone system. The total extraction capacity is 30,000 m³/h. For all dust collectors, the collected material is conveyed via a screw system to a briquetting press with a capacity of 150 kg/h
Quality, flexibility, and consulting were key factors
Due to an operational restructuring at Oberland Werkstätten GmbH in Gaißach, the woodworking department was relocated to a new building. “Because of the move to the new building, we also needed a new extraction system,” explains Matthias Schmidhuber, Head of the Woodworking Department at Oberland Werkstätten GmbH in Gaißach. “There were several reasons why we chose Scheuch LIGNO: on the one hand, the extraction system impressed us with its flexibility for future machine changes or replacements, and on the other hand, the excellent consulting and support. In addition, the available indoor installation space was very limited. With the screw conveyor solution from the deduster to the briquetting press, Scheuch LIGNO scored in terms of space efficiency while complying with all applicable standards. Outdoor installation would not have been feasible in this case.”
The sepas16000 system supplies all standard machines while a standalone deduster was installed for CNC processing and cleaning connections. Material disposal is handled via a briquetting press with a capacity of 150 kg/h. The resulting briquettes are used for heating in the nearby main building.
Maximum flexibility for installation and modifications
Like sepas+, this extraction system offers numerous advantages: sepas16000 is delivered pre-wired and ready to plug in. This ensures maximum flexibility during installation as well as for future changes or modifications within the facility, while also keeping energy consumption low. The system features a single-pipe design with a proprietary activation system for dust and chips developed by Scheuch. This activation air system allows the minimum air velocity in the main extraction pipe to be reduced during low load conditions without causing deposits to form. sepas+ has been successfully used by Scheuch for decades.
“It couldn’t have been better”
“Everything worked perfectly—from planning to installation. The entire process was smooth and on schedule,” emphasizes Matthias Schmidhuber. “We can highly recommend Scheuch LIGNO; there is nothing negative to say. It was new to us that one representative plans the system, sells it, is present during installation, commissions it, and takes care of everything on site. The strong collaboration and straightforward cooperation throughout the entire project were truly excellent.”
