Compact Systems with Multiple Benefits
Compact system provides ample workspace despite limited space constraints
Two ligno DeDustpro dedusters with a capacity of 8,500 m³/h each, as well as a paint booth with a dry spray wall and a total air volume of 11,000 m³/h, were installed by Scheuch LIGNO GmbH at Carpentry Feichtinger in Scharnstein, Upper Austria. The company needed new extraction and painting systems due to the consolidation of two sites. “We previously used systems from other suppliers, but we were not really satisfied with them,” reports owner Stefan Feichtinger. “We asked around and know many other carpentries, and the name Scheuch LIGNO kept coming up. Although Scheuch is not the cheapest, the quality is unmatched. Scheuch is Scheuch.”
New Extraction System with Multiple Benefits
The extraction capacity of the two DeDustpro dust extractors is 8,500 m³/h each, totaling 17,000 m³/h. A separate extraction line was built for each unit. The new extraction system, equipped with a trough and rotary valve discharge, was connected to the existing silo on site. Placing the extraction units inside the hall brings several advantages: easy approval, no noise emissions to the outside area, and no need for return air recirculation. Installing two extraction units also enhances operational reliability. “The limited space in our hall was certainly a challenge. But we managed to solve it very well together. Our employees now have enough space, and they are very pleased with the setup,” says Stefan Feichtinger. “We couldn’t really imagine beforehand that everything would fit so well in the hall. Scheuch LIGNO deserves nothing but praise. Whenever there are questions, everything is handled quickly and smoothly.”
Dry Spray Wall with Dedicated Drying Room
The goal for the paint booth was to create a compact and efficient system. That’s why Scheuch LIGNO was involved from the very first planning phase. Due to the spatial conditions, the decision was made to use a dry spray wall. Additionally, a separate drying room was integrated, significantly improving the painting process. To optimize the existing heating capacity, a heat exchanger was installed in the supply and exhaust air system.
